I've just come back from my weekend away and thought I'd share a couple images of my weekend! I went to stay with my sister by the sea.
I did lots of charity shop shopping, junk food eating and drunk silly dancing.
I even managed to get to MAC in Canterbury and get my hands on some of the Shop MAC, Cook MAC collection. It's a really good collection! I got a cream blush, 2 lipsticks and some MSF Natural.

How nice was the sunshine today? I like it when it's fresh and bright, not when it's too hot! Today was perfect.

I like the way the sun alters peoples' moods, everyone I came across was smiling and I had a little spring in my step.

So, as promised - I've put together a little updated make-up post. You can see my previous post here. It's still quite a popular post of mine, despite being written months ago and I felt a bit odd about it because I no longer use the products I wrote about. Not because the products are no good but because I've kind of gotten into the whole high end make-up route, or a 'make-up snob' if you will!
In the picture below, I'm wearing my every-day make-up. I think you could adapt it for night time but I'll stop rambling now and get on with things...

F-f-face
I've mentioned it many times before, but I have problem skin and have done since I can bloody remember. It's a massive pain but you get used to it. I've just started using Liz Earle (you can find a review on Sophie's blog here) Cleanse + Polish, skin tonic and repair moisturiser.
I use Estee Lauder Double Wear (Review on Hannah's blog here) all over my face and use Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum cover (Review on Hannah's blog and Lily's blog) over the problem areas of my skin. This foundation is really good for coverage and I find it quite matte and I don't feel like I'm wearing a tonne of make up.
On top of the foundation, I wear Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel. It's a bronzing base and basically can be described as a mousse. It gives really good colour and it somehow smooths out the look of my skin (Mentioned on Lily's blog here).
If I need to set all of this I use Clinique blended face powder. Not particularly a miracle product but I'm thinking of branching out and purchasing a MAC powder soon.

All about eyes
I use Chanel Illusion d'ombre eyeshadow in two shades, Emerveille and Ebloui (Review on Emmerveille on Emma's blog here). I use Emerveille on the inner corners of my eyes to make them appear a bit brighter and use the darker shade, Ebloui, on the outer corner of my eyes to give a bit of depth. These shadows blend so well and as they're quite shimmery I think they transition quite well from day to night.
I still use Benefit browzings for my eyebrows, I've tried to tone them down a little bit recently but it's left my feeling a bit of eyebrow woe - sigh!
I'm currently using Soap and Glory Thick & Fast mascara. I actually really love it, it coats the lashes quite quickly.

Rosey-apple cheeks
I love big pink rosey-apple cheeks, just incase you hadn't noticed that yet! I love MAC blushers and with the serious amount of colours available, I don't know why you'd need to go anywhere else. I use Dollymix (as suggested by Klee) in the summer, as it's a rather bright pink. In the winter I use Desert Rose, it's a matte dusty pink that's not too bold. I've recently bought Springsheen, it's a lovely pinky/orange shimmery blush that I can see being quite transitional and lovely in the summer. I'm wearing it in the picture above.
I use MAC MSF Soft and Gentle as a high lighter on my brow bone and cheek bones.

Lip-adee-doo-daa
Again, when it comes to lipsticks - I'm a MAC freak. When I wrote my previous post, I didn't own one piece of MAC make up. Now it's taking over my make up bag! I have about 6 MAC lipsticks. Again, my favourites are quite seasonal. Spring and summer sees me wearing Please me (worn above and reviewed on Lily's blog) or Pink Nouveau. Autumn and winter sees me in Amorous and Brick-ola. I for one, can't wear a baby pink lip in the dead winter so wear something a little darker and vampy!

Had a busy week but managed to sneak in a cheeky nandos with Michelle last night. I'm currently looking forward to having a quiet weekend.

This is my valentines inspired outfit! Who, given the choice, wouldn't rock hearts on a day like today?!

I normally don't like Valentines day but decided to embrace it a little bit this time around. There's no point being bitter, I'm sure everyone has the chance to be spoilt on v-day at some point in their lives!

Today, I went to Lakeside to return a dress to Zara. I'd been putting it off because of the snow and not wanting to drive in bad conditions. I'm glad it's over and done with and it was actually quite nice to listen to music and drive along in the winter sunshine.

I didn't but much, I got some pretty little shoes in the Topshop sale for £10. I do love when you get a Topshop bargain!

I wore this yesterday. Again, not snow appropriate but I have some warped idea that if I pretend it's not happening it will stop. Silly, silly. What I don't show you guys is that I put a massive coat on and put matching shoes in my bag whilst wearing my only warm boots when outside.

Anyone else try and ignore the current weather situation in favour of fashion?

How amazing is this jacket? Apparently, pyjama jackets will be big in spring/summer. I saw this in the ASOS magazine that sneakily came in the post. I couldn't resist this chair print and white piping detail. I was kinda unsure of what to pair it with and I don't even no if 'clashing print' is still a fashion thing but I thought, go for bold, and bring out the polka dot skirt. I often wonder if people shake their heads as I pass them but if we all thought that we'd think of nothing else!

I'm off to catch up on TV that I've missed over the last few days (90210/skins mainly) as I've been sleeping my nights away - must be the cold!

Happy Friday! I'm so glad this week is over. I've heard it's meant to snow tomorrow - I'm being quite cautious with my plans 'cos I don't wanna get stuck anywhere. So that makes me think it better snow otherwise I'm cautious for nothing!

I picked this dress up in Debenhams on Saturday. It was one of two Henry Holland dresses I bought.
I really like HH dresses, I now have 5 in my collection! I think as a clothing range -it's really 'me'! Do you have any H! stuff?
I had a couple things turn up in the post today, I always online shop around payday. It's just too easy to do! One of the things that turned up was the Bengt Moxham Apis necklace. I'd been eyeing it up for a while after seeing it on Sandra's blog. Gonna plan an outfit and hopefully share it with you this week :) Any styling ideas VERY welcome!

So today was the day I thought I'd go look at Mulberry bags. I actually thought today would be the day I bought one too but I guess, to sum up, it was a rather underwhelming experience. I didn't have that NEED feeling and it's a lot of money to part with for something you don't fully want.

I found myself in Westfield White City, with money burning a hole in my pocket! I went a little mad and got some lovely stuff instead!
This collar is like a bib, basically the front bit of a shirt! Such a good idea for layering without getting all bunched up in clothes. And it has a scalloped edges too which is always a win :)
I also got this skirt, I really hope they bring it out in black and white dots too!

FINALLY got some Chanel bronzer! Anyone know the deal with that? It was like sold out world-wide and suddenly filtering back into stores? I bet anyone who bought one for £40+ on eBay is feeling a little silly now.
MAC goodies also found themselves coming my way too eep :)

Have you treated yourself yet this payday? I think it's a necessity after January blues!

I wore this the other day, bit of monochrome goes down quite well. I felt rather 60s in this river island shift dress. I'd wanted this dress for a while and can see it working in many ways.

Not much to report this week, just counting down the days to payday and can't decide whether it's a good idea or not to splash out on a mulberry bag?

I'm not much of a saver & wonder if I'll regret just buying one outright and being poor the rest of the month. On the other hand, if I don't buy one - I'll have another month of being frivolous with my cash.

I bought this dress from River Island a couple of days ago, it was the only thing that survived my online shopping binge! I do love it though, the pattern is crazy & part of their Chelsea Girl range.

I took the other bits back yesterday (skinny high waisted jeans & a polka dot skirt) and swapped them for two dresses I've been after!

I thought I'd take a better pic of the nail varnish too. As I mentioned previously, it's 17 magnetize in lilac. A little tip for anyone who tries it, you have to lay it on quite thick before you put the magnet over it to get quite defined lines! I was doing thin coats and thought 'why isn't it bloody working?!' Haha!

This outfit reminds me of something from the 90s film Clueless. I think this skirt is one of the best things I bought from the sales if I'm honest! The in-your-face print looks good with block colours or clashing print!

How cool is this nail varnish? It's the one with the magnet in the lid that makes a pattern on your nails! I was torn between purple & grey but as you can see, went for purple.

My sister is back for the weekend, so last night we went out for an indian. We all had some wine and got a little bit tipsy - which is just what I needed after such a long week!

Next week is pay day so Westfield is on the cards! YES!

This is the charity shop coat from yesterday's post. You can see how I wear the fur collar without the coat and use it as stole. How bloody versatile! I'll be sad when the season of fur is over. I feel it's near!

I was well cheeky last-night and made a River Island order online, lots of new-in spring stuff coming my way.

I've had this dress for a really long time and never worn it, I have no idea why! I quite like the way it looks, and it has a cute little necklace attachment that buttons on under the collar.

This coat was a bargain £9.99 from a charity shop, I originally only bought it for the detachable faux fur collar but when I got home, fell in love with the coat too. Feel very 70s glam in it.

This dress was a sale purchase at River Island, I'd wanted it full price so was quite chuffed to find it online in the sale. I think it looks really smart.

I wouldn't really want to wear it without covering my arms, so I found this shirt in the sale too for a mere £7. I think the combination of the two are really classic and chic.

I'd been planning this outfit out in my head all week and whilst waiting for it all to turn up, I wandered into the local haberdashery and picked up a metre of this white lace and a metre of black too. It's been done before but I think they'll come in handy when finishing off an outfit.

The bag is just the right shade to lift this outfit out of being quite dark but maintaining the monochrome theme.

Anyway, it's the weekend and I'm staying in and saving money. Has January been hard for you yet? Payday seems miles away!

This is the bag I mentioned in my previous post, beautiful suede leather and a lot bigger than the one in this post. Got a bit caught in the rain, but the bag is still fine - PHEW!

Lighting was super poor in these pics so had to brighten them up a little.

Last night, I went out with my friend Toni who I haven't seen for a little while now! Was good catching up and moaning about life now and talking about good memories.

I'm starting the new year off to a good start, blogged both days! Although I'm not one for new year's resolutions, I endeavour to keep up with my blog and share some nice pics with you all!

I don't think you've ever really seen this dress on my blog before, which is silly 'cos I've worn it a handful of times! (It is slightly visible in this post, mind)

I got it from Urban outfitters Oxford St a few months back! I miss London, I guess I'd better get my fill of it before all this Olympics hype begins. I imagine it's going to be awfully busy for a long time. I'm not one for crowds!

Anyway, if you follow me on twitter, you may have seen me tweet about this year being the year I save for a bag. Yes, you heard me correctly, save! I'm eyeing up the Mulberry Effie tote bag, which isn't too expensive as designer bags go. I think if my feelings don't change by payday, it could be hung over the crook of my arm come February. Question is, tan or black? I'm swaying toward black...

So, it's now 2012! To be honest, I didn't do much celebrating or anything worth documenting. I'm not much of a NYE person, I'm not much of a planner and you always have to plan NYE so I opt out!

Jan/Feb
I was just coming out of a really tough year, my nan passed away just before xmas 2010 and I was getting used to not caring for her & not having her around. My ex and I broke up. My sister moved away to Dover. To counteract these bad things, I focused alot on my friends and went out to have a good time and really act my age!

Mar/Apr
I carried on having a good time with friends really, went to Brighton too - sick!
May/Jun
I finished uni! I passed my degree and had an exhibition held at our uni campus, was quite a milestone really. I also started my first real job at the end of June!
Jul/Aug
Spent this time settling into my new job and just enjoying myself really! Also, went to Dover to spend some time with my sister. Really great to get to visit new places & properly visit her.
Sep/Oct
Quite quiet if I'm honest, just saw friends when I could. It gets quite difficult when you work full time, which I'm sure some of you have experienced.
Nov/Dec
Again, quite quiet. I celebrated my Birthday, Xmas party and of course Xmas!

Overall, although a relatively easy year, I feel like something's been missing. I look back at last year and feel happy but maybe that's just because I'm seeing it how I want to.
I achieved alot; I graduated uni and started a career. I'm not really one for new year's resolutions but this year I aim to do some of the usual things, lose weight, gain money etc etc

How's 2011 treated you? & what do you want from 2012?

So, if I'm being honest, I feel like a bit of the poor-man's Melrose in this outfit post. I bought a tripod the other day from Argos and think it's transformed my outfit photo skills, it also probably doesn't help that I bought the same coat as her aswell!

On that note, I wonder if it's obvious I take a lot of guidance from other bloggers? I know I'm not much of a commenter but I read loadsa blogs and ever since I started my job and had less time to second-hand shop, I had to look for some pointers on how to shop high street. I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing, if I see someone in something I like, I'll buy it too!

My favourite part of blogging is seeing what people have to offer and taking note when it comes to your own style! You see things you wouldn't think of doing yourself :)

Back to the outfit, I bought this skirt in the M&S sale probably like 4 months ago? It has little gold balls all over it like those lush jumpers/cardis that done the rounds in Topshop last year. It's quite festive I spose!

This jumper is one of my favourites, it was one of the first things I bought with my first proper payday! I'm planning on going back to COS soon to get some more timeless classics!

Last night, I went for a random night bowling (I won BTW!) it was slightly odd, as I consumed quite a bit of malibu and coke, due to delays in booking, so it must have worked well for me! We then went on to eat at Frankie & Bennys (MMM!) and then for a few drinks in a greezey club. As I said, random night.

This is the bag I got for Xmas :) it's suede and quite roomey. In the sale, I bought the exact same bag in cream (it is larger though) - I have issues!
I've bought quite a few things in the sales, I normally only buy things I had my eye on when they were full price but not opposed to splashing out on new things that catch my eye!
Topshop accessories sale was amazing, in my opinion! I got some shoes and the above mentioned bag. Will share pics etc when I get them. I stupidly got them delivered to my Mum's work, when she doesn't go back til the 3rd, DOH!
I also got some stuff in the River Island sale, I didn't think there sale was up to much though, to be honest!
I bought 2 dresses for £20 in Dorothy Perkins and also a watch from Debenhams. Eek, I've gone a bit sale shopping mad but need to stop now. If you see me talking about buying something - STOP ME!
Have you done any sale shopping? Or are you one of those, I didn't want it before, I don't want it now kinda people?

So, today is Christmas & I'm not too sure whether Santa delivered but Topshop definitely did!
It's quite unfortunate that everything I pictured is from Topshop ha (apart from the suede gloves - they are Linea @ House of fraser)! What can I say, I just love TS at the moment.
All of this stuff is now sale but unfortunately sold out! DOH!

So, after going through Amy's blog the other day, I saw this amazing Mickey mouse ring! I have abit of an issue with ASOS after some not-so-sparkley service from them but thought it might be worth the risk for this beauty.
It's in the sale too, I got it for £20. Don't cha just love it? If you want the link, you can find it here. For some reason, it's gone up three pounds since I bought it?!
I think it's a real statement piece and I have some other Disney Couture jewellery and it lasts really well. This ring is gold-plated too so should last just as nicely :)

Yesterday was the Xmas party, and this was my outfit! The dress is from Missguided and as you may have guessed - it's a Topshop copy for half the price.
My bag is from Topshop, belt is charity, lipstick is MAC in Amorous, rings are Claire's, Miss Selfridge and Disney Couture/Mawi.
I used my enrapture hair tongs, have a post to do on those so will talk about them then :) Also, a post about my new favourite ring, the Mickey Mouse ring will follow too!

Feeling Festive?

Feeling Festive?
Yesterday, in the Jones household, the Christmas tree was put up. I'm starting to feel really festive! I've been wrapping presents, listening to xmas songs on the radio, wearing velvet, watching xmas films and just generally getting into the spirit of things.
All other years, I've been working in retail at xmas ('cos I was a student) and that means xmas time is non stop work! Now that I work in publishing and am lucky enough to be given an xmas break, I feel like I can really enjoy it!
I wondered if it was too early to post some xmas tree pics but not this weekend but next weekend it will be xmas so I'm right on time :)

So, looks like I went and bought the black fur coat from Topshop that I'd been after since I saw it on Lily and Emma. I bought the coat in my previous post to make up for not getting this one, now I have three coats from Topshop this season! Oops..
I had a dress to take back to Topshop and felt like treating myself, I was thinking shoes or something but then on the 'Last chance to buy' rail was this bad boy. Before I could stop myself, I was walking to the mirror, then posing in it, then walking to the till. Again, oops...
There's just something about black fur that I love, I think it can look really glamorous espesh with light hair. The big collar makes my hair look even bigger and that's a good thing in my books. And let's face it, if Lily and Emma have it - can't be a bad thing ;)
Xmas soon, everyone ready? I'm so please I got my shopping out of the way early this year - I started in October! xo.

I purchased this coat from Topshop a couple of weeks ago. I'd finished my xmas shopping and thought I deserved a little treat! I really love coats.
I think it's quite hard to style being the colour it is though. I'm planning on adding a fur stole to it when I feel like doing so to shake things up a little.

In other news, I got a dress for my work xmas party from Missguided. I'm not gonna tell you what it is yet but you'll definitely see it in a couple of weeks :)

I bought this festive jumper today in a charity shop for a fiver! It reminds me of ones I've seen in Vintage shops and boutiques so was quite a good find.
This amazing clutch bag was my birthday present from my two work colleagues! I was so shocked that they'd splashed out on a leather topshop bag I'd been eyeing up. Chuffed doesn't cover it!
I can't wait to pair it with something truly special.

My sister bought me this for my birthday! As you may know from my last post on the ébloui shade, I was after some more colours.
It really is a lovely colour and formulation and if you're lucky enough to get your hands on some of this, you should!
I've worn it this shade with ébloui on the outer of my eyelids to create a bit of blending. I also wore émerveillé in the inner corners of my eyes, I found this really makes my eyes brighter.
Are you gonna try some of this Chanel-goodness?

Happy Birthday to me!
Today is my Birthday! I'm now 22 years old, feels incredibly odd and I wonder if it's time I start lying about my age. I think I can still get away with it ;) I think I look about 12 ha!

Little bit of outfit photos for you this morning, I bought this lovely dress from New Look yesterday for £14.99! Such an amazing price and it's really lovely too :)
In the top pic, I'm wearing Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Coverage (you can see Hannah's review here as reviews aren't my forté!) It's a really good foundation if you struggle with bad skin, like me, or if you just love a full-coverage foundation.

These boots (Topshop) and MAC goodies are my birthday pressies from my family. I'm in desperate need of some tan leather as my favourite brogues are getting on a bit now, so these boots are a welcome addition! I picked them out when my mum and I went to Westfield a couple weekends ago, after eye-ing them up online for months!

As most of you would know, I went out for a girly drunk night on Friday and my dress got ruined! I managed to take it back without any fuss (Thank you River Island, lovely customer service there!) and got some high waisted jeans instead :)
Last night, I went to Nandos and a pub with my friend Toni and tonight I *might* be going to Frankie and Bennys (Mmm!) as long as my mum is feeling better!

Thanks to all of you who have wished me a happy birthday, I wish I could respond to you all individually but I'd be here all day and when there's a birthday-cheesecake downstairs with my name on - it wouldn't be ideal! :)

Just a few pics from my early birthday celebration last night (my birthday isn't until Tuesday)! I had a really good night & didn't fall over once! Ha, I'm always slipping over, or tripping over - you get the idea!

My dress is from River Island, I loved how festive it was. I say 'was' because it got absolutely destroyed last night, it's lost so much thread and completely faulty, going to attempt to take it back as I'll never be able to wear it again the state it's in!

I was lucky enough to be offered to review this beautiful statement necklace. It's from River island and is part of a new campaign from River Island's Facebook page called Postcards from the Past.
Postcards from the past focuses on key River Island trends of AW in competition form! If you visit and like the Facebook/Postcards from the past page and participate in a fun postcard game, you're in for the chance to win a trend from the collection!
The above necklace is from the 'Hustle' trend. Hustle focuses mainly on the Seventies; a decade I've admired for a year or so now. There's something about the Hustle range that screams glamour to me!
I never normally splash out on costume jewellery but this really took my attention and once I knew it was coming, it didn't leave my mind! I racked my brains trying to think of an outfit worthy of such a pretty piece and after much deliberation, decided to go with subtle, block colours and let the necklace do the talking.
It's large enough to act as a collar, more than a necklace and feathers are all over the fashion-gaff this season! I'm still not 100% sold on my outfit choice so will continue to think of something that will hopefully do this beautiful necklace justice - something truely 70s.

Importance of Mannequins

Importance of Mannequins
I was lucky enough to stumble upon a mannequin this weekend. It was one of those things that you didn't realise you need until you have it!
These images show how I put together an outfit. Having a mannequin made me stop and look at an outfit I was building and I notice what wasn't working and what was missing.
I've found myself in somewhat of a style rut and I think this is my answer. I get to plan outfits ahead of time and see what isn't working.
The mannequin is a similar size to me (although the waist is a good few inches smaller than mine!). I believe (and I may be wrong, so feel free to correct me) that the average size of a mannequin is a size 12, so quite generous really!
I think this will also spur me on a little to get my waist back down to what it was last year!

So, mannequins, have you ever really considered it? Do you have one? Can you see the benefits or do you think I'm an absolute fashion geek with too much time on my hands? ;)

I bought this dress from a charity shop last weekend. Really easy to wear and finished off with a fur stole from a charity shop coat. A really good tip if you're after a fur stole; look at charity shop coats! Buying a whole coat could be cheaper than buying a stole from the high street.

My sister is back in town and we spent the day on a second hand shopping challenge. I got quite a few bits from the market and in charity shops. My sister bought a lovely dress for a special occasion. Will try and picture before she leaves.

Two posts in two days? This is unheard of from me these days!
I've got a bit of time off work though so have time for some posts. I just thought I'd share this little pic with you all. I went out last night, after a late invitation to the pub! As I was off work today, I thought why not? I went to the pub with my oldest friend Toni, her other half and met her brother down there. It was a barrel of laughs and it felt like old times! I feel like I haven't laughed like that for a long time, it was long overdue!
I bought this bow on Sunday with my Boots points, I used to have one like this that broke! I used to love chucking it on when I didn't have much time to do my hair! Do you have hair accessories that instantly transform you?
I wore a bright blue shirt I found in the charity shop on Saturday, black 7/8s from Topshop, my Topshop tweed coat and new M&S boots. I was meant to get a pic of my boots too, damnit! They are amazing though :) keep an eye out for them!
I'm also wearing the new Chanel eye shadow I posted about yesterday, and the lovely Chanel lipstick my mum bought me that I'm yet to post about!

Yesterday, I treated myself to some Chanel make up. I was after a new pot of tan de soleil but they seem to be out of stock most places! I also wanted to look at the Ombre eyeshadow collection. My local Chanel counter was sold out of most of the colours in the collection but had the above and black left.
I decided the black would be too intense for me as I wanted something transitional, day-night. So went for the above.
I'm not big on eye shadow and can't be arsed to sit there blending all day (I usually wear Benefit big eyes shadow kit) so this is perfect for me!
I wanna get some of the other colours when I come across them! To be honest, I could get and use all the colours available!

Lots of pictures!
It's been a busy week, hence the lack of posting.
These pics are of a few things I've bought this week! I went to Lakeside and purchased this coat, I first saw it on Lily's blog and it just grew on me ever since!
I've taken quite a bit of inspiration from her blog recently but I think that's part of what blogging is about; helping people out when they're in a fashion-slump! I have less time to look around charity shops these days and when it comes to high-street shopping, I'm lost. This is where looking at other peoples' blogs has helped me out.
I bought the blue jacket and trousers from ASOS. No word of a lie it's my favourite place to shop right now. I have two more jackets on the way from there that I haven't told my mum about yet....
OH & a lovely pic of my dog, he's a year old this weekend and I thought he hadn't had enough blog space recently (mainly because he isn't still long enough to take a picture!).
OH YEH! The other day I found a MULBERRY bag in a charity shop. I can't believe I bloody forgot to photograph it. I'm waiting to find a nice outfit for it then you'll get a peek :)

Gold Plaited Belt

Last night, I went out with Michelle and a few other friends to the local uni campus!
The playsuit and belt are from River Island and shoes are Jeffrey Campbell Litas. I've had my eye on the playsuit for a while now, I had the feeling it would be quite flattering and I like wearing playsuits for nights out. The belt was a bit of an impulse buy to be honest, and I'm actually a bit gutted 'cos the clasp on it broke! I might take it back and get another one. What if it breaks again though?!
I don't know if you'll be able to tell but I wore upper and lower lashes! I've got massive eyes so normally if I wear upper lashes my eyes can look funny! I'm glad they're bringing out lowers, makes the look more proportioned.

Mid-week!
I'm not used to this whole posting-every-now-and-then thing. It's really hard to keep up with.
This is the coat I bought when I went to see my sister in Dover. It's amazing, I think the best coat I own! The fur and colour, ultimate!
The jumper/dress is from COS. I bought it in July (!) when I got my first pay cheque and only wore it for the first time today! I like the colours and simpleness of it.

Fur Stole

Today, I wore an outfit that I originally loved. The dress shown slightly in the above picture, navy tights and mustard accessories. I took outfit pics too but it wasn't until I bought this faux fur stole on my shopping trip today, that I realised how lacking my original outfit was.
I can't take credit for this, I took note of how bloody good the lovely Lily looked in this post and thought, 'I must get something similar'. I bought mine from H&M, where they had a selection of different colour fur. I got this colour to contrast from my hair.
Once I saw it on, I kept it on once I bought it and received a rather gracious comment from a sales assistant in River Island whilst walking around town.
It made me feel quite glamorous and my outfit more complete.
I want a black one too now.
Faux fur, love it or hate it? My answer is L.O.V.E xo.

Cheque-mate

I got these trousers on that half price Autumnwear on ASOS. A mere £17 for these, makes me a happy girl. I also bought some cords.
I really like this outfit, quite simple but quite eccentric.

I keep going super absent, it's hard to keep motivated on the blogging scene when you completely swamped in day-to-day life. I never understand where people were coming from before.

Ah, apologies for the absence. A mixture of, work, too hot, had a book to read got in the way of blogging this week!
If you've been following my blog for a while, you'd know I'm not much of a summer person so this heat is reeking havock with my wardrobe. I don't like summer fashion, so don't buy summer fashion. I've just been trying to stay cool this week so no outfits worthy of the blog that I hadn't already posted!

This pic was from the week before I believe. My Betty Barclay jacket from previous post. It's really lightweight, so perfect for these cold mornings but scorching afternoons.

Please tell me this heat is gonna do one this week? I've bought so much winter stuff lately and I haven't been able to wear it! I still have all those dresses to show you that I mentioned!

Bit of an update & what I bought

So, it's been a while since I posted, accept this as somewhat of an update.
Firstly, I thought I'd show you a new love in my life...this bag!
It's from River Island and all things I need in a bag right now!
I teamed the above jacket with it. The jacket was a charity shop find, it's by Betty Barclay originally and had a label in the pocket which had a price of £160 on it! Not bad for £5.50 eh?

The weekend just gone was a pretty good one. I went into London on Saturday to the old Westfield. I bought a lot of stuff! Including Chanel tan de soleil (AMAZING) and MAC St Germain. (Both worn in the top pic!)
I also bought 3 dresses. Yes, 3! Now bring on some cold weather so I can bust out some tights and wear them!
I'm sure you'll see them soon enough ;)
On Sunday, I went shopping again locally and spent an arm and a leg in River Island and in general really. I got 2 pairs of shoes, a zillion pairs of tights, top/bag/trousers. A LOT OF STUFF!

I got my Moschino shoes re-heeled today, so can really get into wearing those bad boys. It's certainly love! & to anyone who asked where my trousers were from in the last post, New Look. They come in red, blue & beige - I have all three ;)

Happy Friday everyone!
Ah, it's nice that this week has gone so quick. Time for the weekend and time to spend, as it's payday today!
I bought these shoes on eBay the other day. I won a bidding war and managed to pay a measley £17! I was chuffed, although a little dubious. I thought they'd either be a love or hate item, so I understand if you find the mutli-colours too much to bear! Luckily, I love them. They scream 80s and let's face it - that's me!
This is what I wore with them, I toned it down a little to focus fully on the shoes.
Unfortunately, I need to get them re-heeled as there is a little wear and tear to both heels. I'm hoping it won't cost too much and I hope whoever does it looks after my babies!

Ahh it's been a while, I've had a manic week and haven't felt the need to blog! But now I'm back :)

I really like this outfit. The top is from ASOS and I bought it in a bigger size but sorta wish I didn't!

I feel like such a blogger cliché wearing JC Litas & now a Moschino letter belt but in a way, I kind of love it. Someone on twitter the other day (think it was Simone..!) was saying about a 'blogger uniform' consisting of things like Litas, YSL arty rings etc and I think it's so true!
If you see people out and about do you see items like that and think 'Blogger!' ?
I can't say I've seen anyone in a blogger uniform but I'd instantly recognise the signs of the cliché blogger ;)

Coats? I know, right?! It's almost coat time!
I bought this coat at the weekend in Dover. It was from a charity shop, for a tenner.
I absolutely love it and I think I'm done on my coat quota this year. I have a serious amount of coats but when I saw this I had to have it. I love the way it fits, all baggy and that fur collar. Amazing.
Now, I just have to wait until it's suitably cold enough to wear.

Bought this dress in a charity shop on Saturday last week! I turned it up a little & now I love the way it fits. I normally just buy stuff massive. I guess it doesn't do me many favours though, but this is quite fitted and think it's quite flattering. LOL I say fitted, it's still baggy isn't it? I just don't do fitted.

I'm off to Dover tomorrow for the day/night to stay with my sister. Should be a fun time!

Today I received my other Debenhams order, I ordered Estee Lauder Double Wear & Mac blush in Desert Rose then ordered Mac lipstick in Pink Nouveau & Speed dial. Perhaps a little bit carried away?

This is a dress a bought in Dover when I went a while ago. It was a floor-sweeper, super long and alot of material. I thought it was more of a Winter dress 'cos of the long arms etc, so I turned it up so I could wear it with tights.

Lately, I've been feeling a bit aesthetically inadequate for a number of reasons but I'm starting to feel a bit more like myself and not so inadequate. Sure, these are purely shallow feelings but you still can't just eradicate such feelings. I had put on a bit of weight, skin & hair was a mess but I feel like it's all slipping back to normal now.

I think it's almost Autumn now, who's more excited than me about coats/tights/boots/gloves?! EEEE! x

The quilted jacket was from a vintage shop in Dover when I went a couple of weeks ago. It's quite thin, so I'm using it as a blazer!

So, I looked a little festive today even if it's August! Although, this weather feels more like October. (I'm not complaining, I bloody love October)
These trousers are from New Look, they also come in beige and blue. I also have these colours, possibly the first time I bought something in every colour!
Shoes are also New Look and the top is a sorta, re-invented Urban Outfitters thing I think.
The cardi is H! by Henry Holland, it's possibly the nicest knit I own. Impeccable quality.

Last night out I went out for drinks for a uni friend's birthday!
It was a really good night and I think I put together quite a nice outfit for it. I normally find it difficult to dress for nights-out, so as it was payday I splashed out on this little number!

The playsuit is from River Island, bag & belt from New Look. And my shoes (incase you've been living under a rock and not heard about them!) are Jeffrey Campbell Litas.

I can tell you all that have been asking, the Litas are not as comfortable as everyone tries to make out! I'm quite good with high heels anyway, these still make my feet ache like all the other heels I own and wear (that's the nature of heels though, isn't it?!). So, there you go, an honest opinion about Lita comfy-ness;)

So anyway, how do you find dressing for nights out? A complete novice like me?!

Ahh, it's been a while! I've been a bit swamped with work and stuff and haven't worn anything particularly interesting this week, if I'm honest!

Anyway, I bought these trousers on Sunday from Marks & Spencer. They were only £15. I fell in love with the Chanel-esque detailing on the waistband. It's on both sides.

I wore this yesterday. Was one of my favourite outfits this week!
I bought this jumper from ASOS a little while ago now but as the weather's been so poor I thought it was pretty suitable to bring it out!

I bought some trousers from Topshop that ended up arriving a day late, now they're here, they're too small. I bought a size 14 aswell. I don't understand sizing, I honestly don't look at myself and think I look like a size 16? And I bought jeans from Topshop bout a month ago (they still fit!) and they were a size 10!
I know I'm not the skinniest of girls so please don't think I'm warped and think I'm like a size 6 or 8 or something. But I'd have thought I was sat somewhere in the middle.. Bit depressing if I'm honest.
Does anyone else have trouble with high street sizing?

Ahoy!
Just some pics of my day at Dover!
If some of you don't know, my sister moved down to Dover so my mum and I go down there some weekends to catch up.

I went a little charity shop mad & got the stuff in the pics for £20! Even if I bought that where I live, it'd be like £50+.
The quilted jacket I have on in the top picture was from a vintage shop & I'm not including this in my £20 spent! Also, the grey shirt with flowers and aztec style belt, my mum treated me to, in a shop called Ahoy!
The clothes photos are a bit lame but there was no way I could take a pic of them all separately! I'd still be doing it now ha.

I feel like I have a whole new wardrobe now, sometimes that's just what you need. Everything I had felt a little stale but all of this should revive it a little.
I'm sort of embracing the boyish style that's due to hit for Autumn / Winter 2011. I even bought some shoe DMs 'cos I had visions of them with super slim trousers and blazers. I just hope the pain of breaking them in isn't too much! Any tips?

IT'S FRIDAY!
Incase you couldn't tell, this is a good thing in my books! My week has gone relatively quickly.

I haven't blogged mainly because it felt so unimportant compared to all the trouble that has happened this week. The riots in London and other parts of the UK were atrocious. I was worried, angry and completely couldn't understand why it was happening. It was terrifying and I'm so glad normality is regaining across the UK and justice is being done to the criminals.

I wore this outfit on Thursday, I really liked the mix of greens/turquoises/navy blues. This massive bow is from H&M if you're wondering.

I'm off to Dover for the weekend, really looking forward to it!

Well, I haven't posted all week & wasn't even going to post today but I felt like it had been too long!
So, this post is just an update. You'll have to excuse my grumpy face in the top pic, I'm actually super happy. I was tired in the pic though.

My week has been super busy, but a really great week. Apart from the fact that my car broke on Thursday night! I've been driving my mum's car around as they've been away all weekend but it's a relatively new, pride-and-joy car. My dad is gonna attempt to fix mine for me so we can avoid any garages etc.
I bought the red and black dogtooth jacket/jumper from ASOS when they had their next day free delivery on. It's def more of an A/W thing but I love it.

Yesterday, I went into London with my sister, her boyfriend and her boyfriend's brother. It was a really good day, started off in Carnaby street, then to Oxford street and then to Leicester Sq.
I got the other stuff pictured all from Urban Outfitters on Oxford St. The cardi and dress were part of there renewal thing. I love this cardigan, 'cos it has a K on it! The dress is a little tight on the arms so I'm hoping if I can lose some more weight it'll be fine. If not, I'll make some minor adjustments.

Oh, I went into Forever 21 yesterday too, it's nice but not really my style. Was hoping to see some of the bloggers I'd noticed that work there but no, you were all hiding.

I like stuff that's personalised, who remembers my coat with the K on it? Do you like personalised stuff? What do you have, clothes-wise already? xo.

P.S Have given up on the Illamasqua foundation, it left me spotty & gross. V.jel of everyone who can use it!

Hola!
I'm wearing jeans in these pics, can you believe it?! I bought them the other week from Topshop (Kristen High-Waisted). I bought this top on Saturday from a local charity shop. I think it's hand made due to it's lack of labels. It was only £2.50 and I love it, very me I think!
I finally look like I'm losing some weight too. That's the good thing about fashion blogging, you can see when you put on/lose weight, I'm glad to be getting back on track.

The bottom pics of my wonderful (!) face are to showcase the Illamasqua foundation I bought on Sunday. I don't think this product likes my face! I found the coverage not great, don't get me wrong it's not a terrible foundation and I'm sure it works for most people but it's not agreeing with me and my awful skin :( Does anyone have some tips for using the skin base Illamasqua foundation, maybe I'm using it wrong and need some pointers?

Ahh, Sunday. I think this is the first Sunday since I started my new job where I've done a proper Sunday's worth of stuff! When I was a part timer, I had to work Sundays and I hated it more than words can describe!
Today, I went to London to spend some of my first pay! I went to Selfridges first, as I wanted to try the Illamasqua Skin Base foundation. All you girls who have blogged about it being amazing better be right ;)
What kind of blogger would I be without Mac? I've never had anything Mac before. I've always been a bit like what's the big deal? So, after a long old twitter convo with the beautiful Klee, I made up a little list of things I wanted to try. I don't know if Klee is some sort of MUA but she always looks incred in my opinion so advice worth taking I reckon!
I picked up blush in Dollymix, I'm wearing it in the first pic and a lipstick in Please Me. The lipstick is subtle but really nice.
I'll let you know how I get on with the products! No reviews though, 'cos I'm a lameo at things like that.
I also went into Cos. I've seen Cos stuff randomly on peoples' blogs and always thought it looked like good quality stuff. I always thought it was too expensive though, admittedly I wouldn't dare buy from there if I was still a student though. I'm used to buying stuff in charity shops so blowing £100 in one shop is a HUGE deal for me! The items are both Autumn/Winter but it's my fave season & easily the best season for FASHION!

MY SHOES - JC Litas MICHELLE'S SHOES - River Island

So maybe you're wondering where I've gotten to this weekend?

It's been quite busy and I feel like this is the first time I've stopped all week. My sister was back at the beginning of the week so there was a meal at a local indian restaurant.

On Thursday, I attended a work summer party, where I was treated to a lovely meal. I had to introduce myself creatively and even sing infront of everyone (!) but managed to win iPod touches for everyone in the team I was in for the day! Amazing!

I had a great day and just feel lucky to be where I am to be honest.

Last night, I went out with Michelle to our local haunt. Not impressed with the caliber of people out these days, so rude and drunk messes. I wore my Litas for the first time so I was constantly stepping away from said drunk-messes so as to ensure my Litas stayed nice!

How nice are Michelle's shoes? She was lucky enough to get them in the sale, and they are a duck egg blue kinda colour!

I'm not feeling very well today, my limbs just ache and ache like I can't even describe. No idea why!

My blog is turning into a complete shoe blog lately! Apologies, but I happen to love shoes. I also love the upcoming season, Autumn/Winter is the the best season for fashion in my opinion!

I can feel my personal style turning a new corner, a more sophisticated/elegant corner. I've been investing in/wearing a lot of shoes with a heel as I think a heel can really transform the way you even hold yourself. So when I saw these babies in the sale, I had to get them. I don't really have the money to be buying but it's better than waiting til payday and then paying £75!

Oh my goodness. Well it looks like I've been on a boot-buying spree doesn't it? And if you thought that, you wouldn't be wrong.

When I started my job, I knew I had to treat myself to something a little special. So when browsing websites for JC Litas, I came across the Eriksons. They are less fashion-forward, 'in-your-face' type boots and I think there gonna go down a treat in the winter. They were in the sale so I thought I'd better act fast and snap them up.

Then, when the Eriksons came, I knew I had to take the plunge and go for the Litas. They are easily the best shoes I own. I need to work out where these are going to find themselves in my wardrobe. What would your ideal Lita outfit be?

The Topshop boots were also sale, and feel a little non-extravagant next to the JCs but they were in the sale and I wanted them pre-sale/JC love-fest.

Alright!

I wore this outfit on Thursday to work, and it's one of my favourite outfits at the moment. I bought the jacket on Wednesday from a charity shop and sewed the gold buttons on. I love the whole big shoulders thing!

Also, loving my clog sandals. I was super tall.

In other news, I bought some Jeffrey Campbell Erikson boots online the other day and they arrived today! & so inlove I was that I purchased some JC Litas too! I'm too excited for them even if I can't wear them both properly until it gets colder..!

This is the Jacket I bought the other day, that I mentioned in my previous post. I love it. A lot.

I wore this outfit to work today, it felt quite 1970's Chloe, which I know isn't exactly 'on-trend' anymore but it looks good!

I wore it with my Vivienne Westwood jelly shoes. Which annoyingly, one kept coming off my foot. Not cool!

Anyway, I've completed the week at my new job, I still love it. I feel incredibly lucky to have found something like this. It's challenging but still enjoyable and I can't fault it at the moment!

Tomorrow, I'm heading into London (again!) with my mum. I want to buy some jeans. I know, right? I have no jeans! Want some smart looking, darker denim, skinny leg, waist-not-hip jeans. Any suggestions?
